I totally agree with Sensi Micheal Hodge in learning Krav Maga. I think when you add this to any form of martial art training it can only benefit you in the long run. The real world application is what I find the most attractive part of learnking Krav Maga.

I continue measure my kia spirit during any training session. I find that by continually focusing on maintaining a strong kia, my techniques seem to be stronger in deliver. I would like to know if any other students have similar experiences in keeping a strong kia during training sessions.

As a person who has taken up martial arts in my early fifties, I total agree with view that karate should be used as a last resort. I currently work in the security field where I have daily contact with drug addicts and parolees. I feel more confident today as I study Shotokan and TKD, but as a police officer stated so wisely a few years ago, “We become to lax and then suddenly you have a situation.”

Personally, I believe our society in the US has changed and has become more violent. Very good observations of human behavior actordaddy.
